Named after The Sebright Arms Music Hall which once stood in Coate Street, there has been a Sebright Arms pub in Coate Street since the early 19th Century. Like the Salmon & Ball and Queen Eleanor this painting from 1958 depicts the centrality of the public house in the East End post war communities.
